LF: W126 Euro H4 Headlight Assembly

LF: W126 Euro H4 Headlight Assembly Some purist may complain here, but Safety first since the USV lights are too weak, used all sorts of bulbs already. So i intend to convert a USV W126 gen2 headlights to Euro & activate the headlight height adjustment.

I read in past forums that locally available square headlamps fit the USV W126 heads? but i noticed the heads are not square / or perfectly rectangular. There is and angle, so how did it fit & mount if is want to use H4 lenses or lights into this?

Any Euro heads available here? good used clean units, appreciate any leads.

FYI, we have another USV W126 that was converted to Euro H4, and the lights are very well dispersed vs. the USV. It's just chopsuey for the purists, Euro Heads on a USV MB. Maybe later i will have to change tails & bumpers just to comply with the correctness in look.

Salamat

Sir Junie, I understand that your W126 is a gen2 US version model. The H4 conversion that utilizes the square headlamps only works on gen1 US version cars. Thus it works on my 300SD.

Re: LF: W126 Euro H4 Headlight Assembly Ignore the purists. I'd go with function over originality in this regard. The Euro lights offer a far superior beam pattern than the USV lights.

On the other hand, are 1st gen "bucket" USV's with H4's not compatible with 2nd gen W126 bodies? This is the same dilemma later model W201's face. The USV's simply do not cut it in terms of performance, so the alternative is to use bucket USV's seem viable but the Euros give it a distinct, stately look.

I've done it with my USV 190E and 300D, both have Euro lights (Hella and Bosch). Our USV 300TE also has Bosch Euros. Never looked back.

I know this is a long shot, but did you ever get to replace your headlights to Euros? Would you still have the original US Version headlights? I'm interested with it
